Addicted to the Cuteness

We are 100%
addicted to this cuteness.

St. Patrick's Day

Owen and I headed to downtown Lawrence to watch their annual parade down Mass. Street, we met "auntie" Dana and the little girl she nannies for there. The weather was absolutely wonderful, it was so nice being outside in capri pants :) The parade wasn't the greatest but it defiantly beat fighting the crowd in downtown KC. I didn't bring my camera with me but am hoping Dana sends me copies of what she took real soon. For now I do have a few of our favorite parade participants.

The Dreaded Horse

Owen received this horse a couple days after he was born from his great grandma Rita, he has never really liked it much. The horse rocks and you can press both of its ears to get it to neigh, shake its tail, and move its head up and down. . . Owen isn't having any of it. Until today.

He started by slowly walking up to the horse and petting its face and then moving his way to its tail.

I asked him if he wanted to get on ride, he smiled at me, and let me put him on. He just sat there at first but I showed him how he rock back and forth, this he enjoyed. He started smiling really big and yelling "yeah" while he was rocking. He wasn't on the horse for long but it was a start. This may not be his favorite toy but at least he is making small strides to get on and ride.

Ready to Swim

Sorry for the multiple postings, that's just how I roll :) Spring Break has started, the weather was crap today, but that didn't stop Owen and I from hitting the town. After working out this morning I sat down and "googled" fun things for a toddler to do. I came across the YMCA and saw they offer a 7 day trial membership. . exactly what I was looking for! I loaded Owen up and we hit the pool for about 45 minutes. It is not the ideal swimming spot for an overly active 17 month old because there is no zero depth entry but we made it work. I didn't get any pictures of us in the pool but managed to snap a few before pics.

Our Heart is Full

I carry your heart with me, I carry it in my heart.

Dance Parties

We have a lot of dance parties in our kitchen when daddy gets home from work, gotta love a 17 month who shakes his booty as soon as any music turns on. His daddy is trying to "train" his ears by playing 311, Foo Fighters, and The Urge during out nightly dance session.

Rock Chalk!

We are proudly supporting our red and blue in this household. We are very excited for the upcoming NCAA tourney to begin :)

Spring is on the Way!

After work Tuesday night I picked Owen up from daycare and we headed to Celebration Park. Owen was not thrilled with the swings or slides, all he really wanted to do was climb and run up and down the hills. I have started planning our spring break and am looking forward to great weather and spending some quality time together.
